Titans held an under 14 boys blitz in the Jes yesterday (January 16th), and played host to Eanna Basketball, Liffey Celtics and Sligo All Stars. 

The day was a great showcase of basketball, and then the other things bigger than basketball. It was great to see all the kids, and parents, making friends on the sidelines.

Thank you to Melanie Kelly for pulling it all together on the organisational front. The parents who turned up in their cars with sandwiches, teas, coffee, buns, to Margaret Coughlan, who fed half the city on cocktail sausages and chicken goujons.

There were no semi-finals, no final, but the winners on the day was clearly Liffey Celtics. A well schooled team, with unselfish passing, movement off the ball, and who took good direction from coach Monro to beat all three of the other teams in the blitz.

Thank you to the kids, all the help, and the supporters who made the day such a good success.
